Step 1: Book a Quick Call

Step 2: Complete Your SAP Evaluation
Next, you’ll meet with your DOT-qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) by phone or video.
The evaluation takes about 60–90 minutes and can usually be scheduled within 24 hours of your first call.
During your session, the SAP will:
Review your situation and testing history.
Conduct your official DOT assessment.
Determine whether any education or counseling is required.
Once your evaluation is complete, you’ll need to take a Return-to-Duty drug test — a clean urinalysis that confirms you’re eligible to drive again.

Step 3: Follow-Up Program & Check-Ins
After your evaluation and initial test, your SAP will set up a follow-up program designed to meet all DOT requirements.

Your SAP will create a personalized follow-up testing plan designed to meet federal guidelines.
This plan typically spans about a year, though the exact timeline and number of tests depend on your situation.
The employer can add additional testing if they choose, but they can’t reduce what the SAP recommends.
